Patent Attorney Yoshinori Shimizu Appointed as Senior Counsel of Our Firm

We are pleased to announce that Patent Attorney Yoshinori Shimizu, who served for many years as Vice President at Soei Patent & Law Firm, has been appointed as Senior Counsel of our firm as of February 2026.

Mr. Shimizu brings practical experience as an engineer at 3M, and has worked for approximately 25 years at Soei Patent & Law Firm, where he handled a wide range of matters primarily in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.

He has also spoken at various international conferences, has an extensive professional network with patent attorneys and lawyers around the world, and has deep ties with the European Patent Office, including involvement in opinion statements regarding the Unitary Patent system.

With Mr. Shimizu supporting our firm, we have strengthened our capability to handle more complex and highly sophisticated matters.
